A calm place to understand what is happening and find a next step that fits — in central Munich or online.

When this might fit

Some of what brings people here has nothing to do with living abroad. Some of it has everything to do with it.

You lead in a language and a culture you are still decoding. You are good at your job. But running the room in your second language, within a work culture whose unwritten rules you are still assembling, costs more than anyone can see.

The move made sense on paper. Two years in, something does not. You cannot quite name it, and everyone around you thinks you are doing well.

You have built a successful life here, but no one nearby knew you before. The people who could tell you whether you are still yourself are in another country — and several messages behind.

Stay or go back — without making the decision from exhaustion. That question deserves a clearer head than the one you have at the end of these months.

And sometimes it is about the more ordinary pressures: overwhelm at work, a decision you keep postponing, patterns that keep catching you, or a relationship or separation that lands at the same time as everything else.

Sentences people arrive with

Clarity rarely starts with a perfectly formed question. It often starts with a sentence that keeps returning.

“I keep functioning, but it costs me more every month.”
“On paper, this is what I wanted.”
“I know something has to change. I just do not move.”
“I do not want platitudes — but thinking about it on my own is not getting me anywhere either.”

Approach

How I work

Systemic perspectives, psychological reflection, and attention to what the body registers before the mind admits it. The aim is not faster self-optimisation. It is more orientation, more steadiness, and a next step that actually fits.

Feelings, physical reactions and recurring patterns are not pushed aside. We look at them, place them in context, and make them easier to regulate.

Scepticism is welcome. We do not have to believe anything. We check together what holds up, what makes sense, and what helps.

See the wider system

We look at roles, relationships, expectations, internal pressures and the environment around the situation — not only at you in isolation.

Include what the body notices

Physical reactions can reveal pressure, protective patterns and limits before they are easy to put into words.

Turn insight into a workable step

Understanding matters. So does testing a small, realistic change that gives you more room to act in everyday life.

What this is not

This is coaching and personal support. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis or medical treatment.

If what you are carrying needs therapeutic treatment, I will say so and help you identify appropriate places to continue your search.

Coaching does not become a substitute simply because finding an English-speaking therapy place may take time.

Coaching may fit when … Coaching does not replace …
You are looking for orientation in a professional or personal situation. Psychotherapy, diagnosis or medical treatment.
You want to understand your own patterns, roles and reactions. Acute crisis intervention or treatment of serious mental illness.
You want more steadiness and room to act. Addiction treatment, trauma therapy or medical assessment.

About

Who I am

I am Klaus Nemelka. I spent twenty-five years in marketing, communications and leadership roles at international technology companies — fast-moving environments with the particular pressures that come with visibility, responsibility and constant change. I know many of the rooms my clients describe from the inside.

My academic background is a degree in business administration from LMU Munich, with a focus on work and organisational psychology. I subsequently trained as a psychological and systemic coach.

What interests me is what is actually at work beneath the surface of a situation — and what can give you more room to act.

You do not need a perfectly formulated question. We can begin by sorting out what is actually happening.

Questions people ask

A short overview of language, scope, payment and confidentiality.

Do I need to speak German?

No. Sessions can run entirely in English.

Is this therapy?

No. This is coaching and personal support. It does not replace psychotherapy, diagnosis or treatment of mental illness. If therapeutic treatment appears to be the appropriate format, I will say so.

Will my health insurance cover this?

No. Coaching is a private service and is not billed to statutory or private health insurance.

Can my employer pay for it?

Often, yes. Many companies have a budget for coaching or professional development, and I can provide an invoice. What is said in the room stays confidential, regardless of who pays.

I cannot really explain what my problem is yet. Is that an obstacle?

No. That is a normal starting point. Sorting out what is actually going on is often the first part of the work.

Where exactly do sessions take place?

At Nußbaumstraße 14, 80336 Munich, a few minutes from Sendlinger Tor. Online sessions via Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams are also available.

A first step does not have to be a finished decision.

In the intro call, we look at what is going on, whether coaching is the right format, and what a reasonable next step might be. Twenty minutes, free and without obligation.
